xverified is operated by Lebon Consulting (Pty) Ltd, an authorised Financial Services Provider based in Pretoria. We built the platform for our own tracing engagements with retirement funds, and we run it the way a regulated firm has to: contract first, data inside South Africa, a journal of everything, and a fee only when a beneficiary is actually found.

Lebon Consulting.
Lebon Consulting (Pty) Ltd is a South African financial services and compliance firm, authorised by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority under FSP number 52013 and registered with the CIPC as 2021/570343/07. The firm advises on and administers insurance, retirement and compliance matters for institutional clients, and it is the contracting party on every xverified engagement.
Its Managing Director, Isaiah Mphaloane, is also the Information Officer responsible for POPIA and PAIA matters across the firm and the platform.
Tracing was the bottleneck in every engagement.
Working with retirement funds on unpaid death benefits, the same problem recurred: the fund knew it owed money, the record was decades old, the member had died, and nobody could say who the dependants were or where they lived. Spreadsheets and ad hoc tracers could not produce the evidence trustees need under Section 37C, and could not do it at the scale of a backlog.
xverified is the platform we built to do that work properly: identity resolution against named South African registers, a family lineage from Home Affairs records for every deceased member, field verification with consent and documents, and an immutable journal so the trail stands up years later. It now serves pension funds, insurers, banks, executors and registrars, with the same pipeline.
Four rules we do not bend.
- Contract first
- An engagement letter with POPIA processing terms is signed before a single record is transferred, including for a sample sweep.
- Data stays here
- Client and case data is stored and processed in Azure South Africa North. Any sub-processor outside the country is named and agreed in writing.
- Paid on success
- A fee only for beneficiaries traced and verified to the agreed standard, capped per beneficiary. Beneficiaries are never charged.
- Verifiable claims
- We publish only what you can check: our licence, our registration, our sources and our method. Client references are given with the client's permission.
